Dear reader, this multi genre project is about the story of Romeo and Juliet. The play Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, is about two young adults falling in love, despite the family feud. I chose to represent the theme that love can bring two feuding families together. To elaborate on that theme, all of the fights and conflicts brought Romeo and Juliet closer together after they first met each other at a masquerade ball. While all of the fights and conflicts brought the Montagues and Capulets further apart. The two families feud was ended through seeing how much Romeo and Juliet liked each other up until their death day. This is why I chose the theme that love can bring two feuding families together.

Romeo and Juliet's Wedding Invite

I chose to make a wedding invitation for Romeo and Juliet because Juliet was invited to her own wedding. The quote, "Then hie you hence to Friar Laurence' cell;// There stays a husband to make you a wife.// Now comes the wanton blood up in your cheeks:// They'll be in scarlet straight at any news.// Hie you to church; I must another way,// To fetch a ladder, by the which your love // Must climb a bird's nest soon when it is dark.// I am the drudge, and toil in your delight;// But you shall bear the burden soon at night.// Go; I'll to dinner; hie you to the cell." (Rom. 2.5.67-76), can be used to see when Juliet was invited to be married to Romeo later in the night.

Romeo's Exile Playlist

I made this playlist to capture all of the emotions that everyone was feeling after the exile of Romeo and the death of Tybalt. An example of the negative emotions that were felt after Romeo's exile was when Juliet said "Wash they his wounds with tears? Mine shall be spent,// Take up those cords. Poor ropes, you are beguiled,// Both you and I, for Romeo is exiled.// He made you a highway to my bed;// But I, a maid, die maiden-widowed.// Come, cords; come, nurse. I'll to my wedding bed;// And death, not Romeo, take my maidenhead!" (Rom. 3.3.130-137) Lady Montague, Romeo's mother also died of grief after Romeo was exiled. And the Capulets were grieving over Tybalt's death.

Friar Laurence's Recipe for Disaster

I chose to make a recipe to represent Friar Laurence's plan to get Romeo and Juliet together in Mantua. The quote "Hold, then. Go home, be merry, give consent// To marry Paris. Wednesday is tomorrow.// Tomorrow night look that thou lie alone:// Let not the nurse lie with thee in thy chamber.// Take thou this vial, being then in bed" (Rom. 4.1.89-93), can be seen as the friar explaining the first part of his plan to reunite the two.

Juliet's Vision Board

I chose to make a vision board for Juliet and her wedding inspiration because of the lines "O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?// Deny thy father and refuse thy name!// Or, if thou wilt not, be sworn my love, // and I'll no longer be a Capulet" (Rom. 2,2,33-36). In these lines, Juliet is thinking about her and Romeo's wedding. She is excited about her and Romeo's wedding. Juliet wants her wedding with Romeo to be perfect, so Juliet needed to get a vision board for inspiration for the wedding.

Lady Capulet's Scrapbook

I chose to make a scrapbook to represent the end of the Montague and Capulet family feud after the death of Romeo and Juliet. One line from Lord Capulet stating "O brother Montague, give me thy hand.// This is my daughter's jointure, for no more// Can I demand" (Rom 5.3.296-298) and the quote from Lord Montague stating "But I can give thee more;// For I will raise her statue in pure gold,// That whiles Verona by that name is known,// There shall no figure at such rate be set// As that of true and faithful Juliet" (Rom. 5.5.298-299), can be used to see the ending of the family feud and the blooming friendship between the Capulets and the Montagues.
