Sonny is a robot in the movie "I, Robot" created in 2004. Sonny was created by Alfred Lanning who is the lead scientist for creating the robots and NS 5's in the movie. Sonny is also one of the many NS 5's but he is also a special one of a kind NS 5 designed to break the three laws. The NS 5's were designed for the humans as companions to help them do stuff around the house and a whole bunch of other stuff. Sonny's whole purpose for being designed was to break the three laws on purpose. Sonny was thought to have murdered his own creator which later found out he didn't. Sonny said and was confirmed to have had dreams which no other robot was capable of because he had these random sets of code that was added to help him be able to dream even though he was not programed to.

AI Portrayal

The AI portrayal is shown in a futuristic way by having full communicating robots and some which can even make new random strands of code like found in sonny which that random strand of code in sonny gave him the ability to dream. The AI also was portrayed not just in robots but also cars as the cars where able to drive around by themselves instead of having a human guide them they are able to drive to locations at high speed without getting into any accidents. The "Three Laws" were a really good way to describe how robots should be programed and designed in the future as to ensure that robots cant harm and kill us but rather co-exist with us instead.

AI impact on Society is that robots are everywhere they could be in your home in your school as a teacher and even in your cars driving you to places safely and at high speeds so you can get to places quicker instead of a person driving at slower speeds with a higher risk of crashing. the robots are used in ways like teaching kids and adults as well as keeping your house clean and driving you to places along with groceries for you instead of driving. Robots can also save your life sometimes by running at speeds quicker then a human to give you your EpiPen when your having a allergic reaction .

Del Spooner or Detective Spooner was a human which has a grudge against robots. the photo above is showing his hate towards robots by pointing a gun at there face. everyone he knowns and that know him thinks he is a nut job even though he considers himself as the "Last sane man on the face of the earth." and was proven right about his paranoia about the new NS 5's.
