I always loved our moments together and appreciate your friendship whether working or time outside of work. You have a heart for Jesus and I have loved watching you lean into your trust with him more this year. I have been so proud and impressed with the ways that you let him lead you with the boys this year in ministry. I was just thinking “who’s this guy speaking Spanish on the club live?” I never really met you until later in the year, and it was honestly kind of a weird experience. It was cool meeting you though cause you were the first male intern for the middle school/high school programs since being in high school. You actually kinda felt like a high schooler and I was really thrown off by that. When we went to get food at Avanti I actually realized that you were more like a high schooler than an adult, but still had the capabilities of being an adult. It was really cool and kind of refreshing, talking to a guy adult about guy teenage problems instead of avoiding all the things the girls didn’t really know about/understand. Even though I didn’t get the full experience of you being the intern cause of COVID I’m glad that you were the intern and could do intern things while you had the chance. I really enjoyed all the quotes and stuff we talked about, as well as the mission trip. Even though it wasn’t that much of a mission trip, I’m glad that you were my dad and we had a good time. I’m glad that you’ll still be around and I’ll definitely say hey every once and a while when I’m at the church. :)

Thank you for your service and dedication to the high school ministry and to Grace Commons in general this year! Your vulnerability inspired the students to share what was on their hearts and you made them feel accepted because they were able to relate to what you have gone through. I appreciated your willingness to connect with others on Wednesday nights and even make the leaders feel like someone cared about them. God is working through you and in you. You have the greatest energy to serve and teach others about how God can change their lives. I pray for you as you go from this experience and ask God to move you to impact the people around you. I think I said this on mission trip but it is weird to have an intern that I look up to even though I did it first.
