I have taught this class the last four years and it is one of my favorites. I have lived in Columbia since 1991 and I love this city. I am married almost 30 years, I have two children, a boy and a girl, and I have one granddaughter. No pets! Why? Because I love to travel and pet sitting gets expensive when you travel a lot so, nope, no pets for me but I love dogs! Especially the Bichon Frise.

Speaking of favorites, this beautiful island, voted one of the best beaches in the Seychelles, Beau Vallon, is a must-see, must experience beach of a lifetime. This island archipelago destination sits atop my bucket list for many reasons such as its Eden-like beauty, the crystal-clear azure waters, the unique culture, food and music and hopefully a first class long haul flight since it is nearly 24 hours away from BWI Airport. Of all the places, I have been, I have not been here but it is a front runner for my 30th wedding anniversary in 2023!

I work at a resturant and have been in the food industry for 4 years now. I love customer service and one of my goals is to explore the world of event planning. I have always wanted to travel to Switzerland to experince the beauty of the moutains. I had a friend who described the feeling to me and said it is a very comfotable and amazingly beautiful place. Jungfrau is one of the main summits of the Bernese Alps. I love planning a lot of activities on my trips and there is many things to do such as hiking to stunning views to taking train rides around the moutains.

I selected Puerto Rico (PR) as one of my favorite US destinations and the reason is because it’s a local tropical getaway.  Not many people realize that this Caribbean island is an unincorporated territory of the US so no passport is required (not sure why people these days wouldn’t have a passport but you would be surprised).  From BWI you can catch a nonstop 4 hour flight and arrive in the beautiful historic city of San Juan (capital of PR).  There’s so much to do and see in PR; from the delicious cuisine, shopping, sightseeing, swimming, festivals, the list goes on and on. PR has the best of both views; mountains and the ocean. Don’t speak Spanish, that’s ok although English is the second language you don’t have to bilingual to maneuver around most of the island.  The island has 6 different regions each known for something different; world renowned beaches, the rainforest, historic architecture just depends on what you wish to accomplish during your stay or if you have time, explore them all, the island territory is only 100 miles long and 35 miles wide.

My name is McKenzie and I'm 23 years old. I chose Mammoth Cave National Park because it's one of the most unique places I've ever traveled to. It's the world's largest cave system--containing over 400 miles of caves! I'm honestly not the most outdoorsy person, but I absolutely loved the variety of views and hikes there--including a 4-hour hike through the biggest cave and a 3-hour caving expedition where we crawled through small spaces and caverns. I was here eighteen months ago as part of a service trip in undergrad, and we got to help build handrails in a small cave that hadn't been open to the public for 50 years, so that was pretty special! We were there the week before the pandemic swept across the U.S., and so this was also the last travel destination I visited that didn't involve checking for COVID-19 guidelines--I hope to go back when it's safer to do so! I've had my passport since 2011 and sadly I have not been able to use it yet and it is time for a renewal :(. The first place I plan to visit is Montego Bay, Jamaica. There are plenty of beautiful resorts but my hopes are to stay at the Sandals resort with the overwater bungalows. A vacation for me would be relaxing by the beach listening to the waves, a spa day, along with various water sports, and swimming with dolphins. Montego Bay, Jamaica has a lot of great things to offer and culture that I would like to experience. My plan is to go next year for my birthday, hopefully if I speak it into existence it will happen. Fingers crossed!

The experience there was amazing from the food, historic landmarks to the culture. I loved everything about my experience and I can't wait to go back. Visiting Old San Juan was one of the greastest experience of my life!

I am Jianna. I'm in the process of finishing my Events Certificate by Spring 2022. I really enjoy traveling. One of my favorite places I visited was Hawaii in 2015. I got to stay in Honolulu and on the Big Island. This was a place I've always wanted to visit. It was even better than what I thought it would be! I went my senior year of high school. Being on the beach is one of my favorite things. What I loved most about Hawaii were the crystal clear waters. The water was so clear you could see sea turtles, fish, coral, and other sea creatures easily. While we were there, my family got to experience a luau, hike to the top of Diamond Head, snorkel, and take surf lessons. We also stayed on the Big Island and saw the Kilauea Volcano! This trip was so memorable to me because I have always wanted to travel to Hawaii. I don't think I've been able to experience so much on a vacation like what I got to experience in Hawaii. I would love to go back someday.

When I am not working, I love hanging out with my friends, drawing, and shopping for things I definitely do not need. I recently just bought my first car and I am currently looking for an apartment so I can live on my own. I have 2 brothers, but they do not live with me because they are much older. One just turned 30, and the other is 27.
I have chosen Las Vegas as my favorite place that I have visited, but there really has not been a place that I have visited and not loved. My favorite thing about Las Vegas has to be the night life and architecture. Nevada really does not have a lot going on and then as soon as you reach the strip, there are all these elaborate buildings, people, and bright lights. When walking on the strip, your really can't help but just to be overwhelmed with joy. There are so many things to do there such as seeing shows, going to see all of the themed hotels, a rollercoaster, and there is even a hotel that has a flamingo exhibit in the middle of it. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone and I also feel like everyone should experience it at least once. I promise it is amazing. I loved it so much my first time that I went back 3 more times so far.
