I think this is true because if I was in that situation it would be hard to help out a stranger when you don't know what could happen. Who knows if they are faking it or just trying to get your money? I have had this happen to me. We were walking in Omaha and we saw a couple of homeless people, and don't know if we should help. Most of this generation is all about money, so some people could be faking it. It's easier to not get involved but when one person starts to help then a group of people will. Everyone will follow when one person finally decides to help or make a move to make the situation better.

This situation relates to the "Cheboygan Day" because when one person started to dress and act like Claude, everyone did. The characters support the theory because when Adele was in a situation where she was getting bullied, Owen did stand up for her that one time. But everyone acted like it was the worst thing that came out of his mouth.

One theme of "Cheyboygan Day is" friendship. There is a lot of friendship in the story when Owen cares a lot about what his friends think, and his social status in the school. There are certain rules you do for friends in "Cheyboygan Day" like when you stick up for someone they have to do it back. Most of the time it is those small little favors.

I picked friendship because, without Owen's friends, I think he would have been nicer to a lot of people like Adele. He cared too much about what others thought about him, and his social status.

"The Lottery" ends a very graphic, unsettling way. Shirley Jackson's intention for writing is not to advocate for violence but to warn others about how extreme "following tradition" can become.

Critique the story by deciding whether or not the message is clear. Did you understand what lesson she wanted the audience to learn? Why or why not?

I understand what the author was trying to teach us because its about following a tradition. I think she could have been a little more clear on what we needed to learn by adding more detailed sentences on why they decide to do the tradition's and when do they do the drawings. Innocent people were going to get hurt if they drew the wrong paper, and that is not right. She did a good job explaining the theme and how the story develops, but I needed a lot of time to process this weird story. Even children were even gathering stones to throw at a person.

I think this story will be about Ebenezer Scrooge showing a man what he has done in the past and future scarily. He ruined many things and looks like the man killed a young child because of his evilness.

The tone of the trailer is very scary and in dark tone to foreshadow what's going to happen in the movie. I chose a scary tone because in a way the production of this movie changed to have a scary theme to it instead of the original movie. This way people can watch multiple versions.

In what way does Scrooge's past affect his present?

Scrooge's past was not the happiest and he was always alone when he was a child. The only time he was really happy was when he got to go home from boarding school and see his sister again. Another thing about Scrooge is that. his only friends were characters in his books he read alone.

Have there been any positive, loving people in his life? Who?

Yes, he has had Fan his very nice sister who is nice and caring for Scrooge. Another one would be Mr. Fezziwig his old clerk, and Belle his ex fiance. There is many people who were always kind to him, but some certain people made him a miserable man.

Do you believe Scrooge has a reason to be cruel to those around him? Why or why not?

I think he has some sort of a reason most of the time because of his ruined childhood. I also think that he doesn't and is just grumpy all the time because his life didn't go the way he hoped. He got to obsessed with being wealthy and only caring about money.
