This is one of the main characters in my book he is the one sent to Japan to learn Japanese so that he could crack codes. When he was there he realized the lives of the Japanese and how they lived; he was then sent back to the United states to serve in the war between the United States and Japan in Alaska . He didn't have to much expierenced in being Lieutenant but had to go and fight because they didn't have too many soldiers to confront the Japanese army.

Alaska Kiska

This place is important because it was where the war took place. This place was the Americans first they had weather stations that will tell codes thru the weather stations. This place was taken later on by the Japanese and was under their power for a long time. The Aleutians had to evacuate the city. This was the first island that was recaptured by the Americans the Americans managed to get there land back.

Alaska Attu

This was the second setting of the book It is Attu Alaska. There were many deaths there were more deaths here then in Kiska because it costed them more since the Japanese used all there ammunition and equipment that they had in this place. It was one of the deadliest wars. It occurred in Attu.

Pearl Harbor

In the book it says that this was the beginning of the war. The Japanese where the ones that invaded first. First they came to Alaska with soldiers shooting which ended up with Mike's sister getting shot in the leg. Then they decided to bomb which was when then the Americans got involved in the war.

Kiska weather team

The weather team was put in Kiska so that they can transmit the weather and they also transmitted codes. When the Japanese to over they wanted to capture every single one the first one to be captured was Charlie he surrendered to them because he was starving for over a month and had no extra close for the cold.

He was in-charge of the people that crack codes and the ones that cracked the codes told him that the Japanese were about to strike in Alaska but he said to not worry that the Japanese were faking it so that they can go and get distracted. Due to that the event took place and they attacked without us doing something.

This planes was what the Americans used so that they could be able to get there territory back. It is a water blane that carried the bombs so that they could bomb Attu and Kiska.

This is with what the Aleuts were evacuated before they started bombing. They got evacuated so that innocent people wouldn't die.

Americans put this guns in the PBY so that they could shoot the Japanese that were shutting at them and then they would let go of the bomb.

Colonial Castners

The colonial Castners helped out with the war because they knew all the routes and places around Alaska. This men were hunters, fishers, and etc. They knew how to fight in the war. Each of them had something special.

Canadians help out

The Canadians helped the Americans fight off the Japanese. They landed in Attu.

Destroyed Aleutian's homes

Most of there homes were destroyed by the American soldiers which took most of their belongings and some were destroyed due to the war.

Japanese hurting women and children

In the book it states that when The soldiers wife and children were at Japan they were being punicshed by the soldiers

The second setting of the war was Were the Americans killed all the American soldiers and if they weren't killed they killed by themselves due to their belief in the samurai conduct.  The Japanese that looked after the  Japanese were captured and given a soldier too look after them

Died Aleutians

No familiy member could bury their own love ones that died in the war. If their love ones died in the war they were taken by the U.S soldiers.
