         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.Castor Sugar<br>The appearance of the cookie made using castor sugar on the outer was lumpy due to the chocolate chips, and its colour was a slight brown colour, in contrast to the cookies made using brown sugar. The cross section of the cookies was also a light brownish colour, and there were airholes present in the cross section of the cookies, possibly due to air that got trapped in the batter while preparing the cookie. The aroma of the cookie was floury and milky, and had a nice aroma to it. The flavour of the cookie was a milky and floury flavour, due to the presence of egg and flour in the cookie. The texture of the cookie, on another hand, was crumbly and crunchy, giving it a nice crunch and texture when bitten into, due to the baking of the cookie. However, after being left out for a duration, the cookies will have a slightly soggier texture.&nbsp;<br><br>2. Brown Sugar<br>The cookies were slightly more brown on the outside in comparison to the cookies made using castor sugar, and it was also softer and more chewy, compared to the cookies made using castor sugar. The aroma of the cookie was floury and had a nice aroma to it, and tasted sweeter than the cookies made using castor sugar. The inside of the cookie was soft and bread-like, and had more airholes than the cookies made using the castor sugar.<br><br>3.Icing Sugar<br>The cookies made using the icing sugar were whiter and more creamy in colour compared to the cookies made using castor sugar and brown sugar. It had a crispy and solid texture, and it tasted more sweet as compared to the cookies made using brown sugar and castor sugar, and the sugar in the cookies were more easily identified when bit into. The aroma of the cookie was nice and fragrant, and it had a less milky and floury smell as compared to the previous two cookies. The inside of the cookie was soft and the texture of the cookie on the inside when bit into was a bread like texture and was soft, and also had plenty of airholes present, which could have been trapped into the batter during whisking.<br><br>4. Castor and Icing&nbsp;<br>These cookies had a harder and more crumbly outside texture compared to the previous variations, and had a more hard inside, compared to the cookies made using brown sugar and icing sugar. The colour of the cookie was a slightly brown colour, and it was crispier. The aroma of the cookie was nice and fragrant, and had a slightly more eggy smell as compared to the other variations of the cookies that were made. The cookie was also slightly more buttery, although it was less sweet compared to the other variations of cookies. The cookie when bit into has a more crumbly texture and is more hard as compared to the other cookies, and it had more airholes as compared to the other cookies on the inside. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first variation using brown sugar is the darkest in colour as compared to the other 3 cookies, followed by variation 3 using castor sugar, the original recipe then lastly, variation 1 using icing sugar. The cross section of the cookies are similar to the colour of its outer shell. Variation 1 using brown sugar's cross section is a very dark and chocolatey colour,&nbsp; variation 2 using icing sugar's cross section is a creamy white colour, variation 3 using castor sugar's cross section has 2 colours,&nbsp; the outer ring of the cookie is a darker golden brown colour while the middle of the cookie is a lighter yellow colour. Lastly,&nbsp; the original cookie is the same colour as the outer shell. The brown sugar variation was the sweetest abd softest cookie out of the 4.</div>]]></description>

The brown sugar cookie has a sweet aroma from the brown sugar and a hint of vanilla aroma from the vanilla essence.The cross section is also a darker colour due to the colour of the brown sugar. The cookie is crispy when being consumed. The cookie tastes sweeter due to the brown sugar as compared to the 3 other variations of cookies.<br><br>Cookie using caster sugar:<br>The outer appearance is a  little bit darker than the rest of the cookies.This is because the cookie  was baked for a longer duration as compared to the other 3 variations of cookies.  The caster sugar cookie has a hint of vanilla aroma from the vanilla essence. The cross section is of a lighter colour. The cookie is crispy when being consumed. The cookie tastes less sweet as compared to brown sugar.<br><br>Cookie using icing sugar: <br>The outer appearance is of a light colour. This is because of the decrease in amount of sugar added as icing sugar has a higher amount of cornstarch on it. The icing sugar cookie has a hint of vanilla aroma from the vanilla essence. The cross section is also of a light colour. The cookie is crispy when being consumed. <br><br>Cookie using caster + icing sugar:<br>The outer appearance is of a light colour that is similar to the colour of the cookie using caster sugar. The caster + icing sugar cookie has a hint of vanilla aroma from the vanilla essence. The cross section is of a darker colour as compared to the cross section of the icing sugar cookie. The colour appears to be slightly lighter brown than the original cookie.<br>The colour of the icing sugar cookies are the most pale because it contains very little ( 25% cornstarch ) and did not caramelised nicely as compared to the brown sugar and caster sugar. Additionally, it expanded the least compared to the others when baked.<br>The icing sugar + caster sugar cookies appears to be in between brown and light brown.<br>The original cookie had the most strong smelling scent as compared to the others.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The aroma it gave off seemed to be the same for every cookie i smelled but it might be different for the others. The appearance shows that it was the darkest shade of brown out of all the variations of cookies.<br><br>2) Variation 1<br>This cookie was made with brown sugar. It tasted sweetest out of all the cookies. It also has a softer texture compared to the original cookie. It is also very crumbly. The aroma smelled the same. The appearance shows that it was the second darkest shade of brown which should not be the case when we use brown sugar.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>3 )Variation 2<br>The sugar that was used is icing sugar. It tastes the most bland. Its texture is also very hard like the original and is also crumbly. The aroma still smelled the same for me. Its appearance shows that it was the whitest compared to the other cookies that were made with different sugars.<br><br>4) Variation 3<br>The sugars that were used were castor sugar and icing sugar. It tasted slightly different from the castor sugar cookie as it was a bit bland. Its texture also seemed to be very crumbly and harder than the brown sugar cookies. The aroma again smelled the same for every cookie i came across. Its appearance looks the same as the brown sugar one and that was because the brown sugar cookie did not become browner due to the baking time.<br><br></div>]]></description>
