This can address figurative language, finding synonyms and antonyms of words, using fluency techniques when saying a question/sentence, answering fluency facts, conversation goals, and can also address articulation at sentence or conversation level. If the box has dividers, the student may even be able to pull cards from their own portion of the box with their own goals on the cards. Place a paperclip on each index card. Attach a string to a ruler or a stick (I believe there are craft supplies at Dollar Tree) and a good magnet at the end of it that will stick to the paper clips. Have each student either use one "fishing pole" or their own (depends how many are made) to grab a card. Do not let them look into the box! They may try to peak and move the cards around with their pole to find a preferred question. To make it more competitive, put points they can earn on the back of each card for more difficult questions/sentences/etc. and have your students keep score. The one with the most points wins the game.
