The years went by faster than i expected but he’s always been one of the most lenient teachers i've had and always makes his lessons enjoyable. As the school year comes to an end, I would like to type up a message to express how much appreciation I have for you. Starting my first year in person at Harlan High School was very nerve-wracking especially since I was taking speech. At first, I thought speech was going to be a very anxiety-ridden class because I have always been afraid of speaking in front of an audience. Here comes you, by far one of my favorite teachers that have ever taught me, easing my anxiety at a new school and new class. You knew how to make me feel safe and sound in your class and provide me with as much help as needed with anything. You have listened to my teenage drama and offered a lot of advice to me. I see you as a parental figure and someone that I can trust when I need something the most. You continue to brighten up my day when I see you in the halls and the fact that you still provide me with much even though I am not your student anymore makes me more than happy. I thank you for your support and for providing me with so much even after knowing you for just a semester. You will forever be my speech teacher and a friend in my eyes. Despite my grade and extreme amounts of missing assignments, I do really appreciate you for being my teacher. Throughout this year from missing your class because of football, being sick, or updating the grade book to help me out, you have relieved enormous amounts of stress off my shoulders. Physics is definitely not my strong suit (shocker) but that has not stopped you from helping me out, and I’m sure many other students as well. We are thankful for what you do for us! junior year was a crazy experience, all throughout quarantine. it was difficult trying to establish relationships with teachers during a period when you couldn’t even hear their voice in person.
there was one teacher who always stood out to me in their approach to teaching, and the silly videos she played during lessons — or the daily english memes. she was consistently considerate of just how tough it was to not be in an actual classroom. she bent over backwards to accommodate students and make sure help was always an email away.
walking into your class, senior year, i would have never known i would find someone to look up to. your ambition, kindness and sincerity have not gone overlooked— nor unappreciated.
thank you. thank you for pushing me to do better when i’d given up. thank you for nurturing my writing ability and giving me confidence, not only as a writer but in myself. thank you for being so absolutely sweet. thank you for being you.
you are a woman with so much love to give. i’m positive everyone who knows you sees it in every smile you give.

While I do believe that Statistics is not anywhere close to being better than Calculus, I did really enjoy being in your class and learning everything I did. You are a very chill and fun teacher which is definitely what made everything enjoyable. I will say that Statistics was definitely terrible for me to learn because I struggled with the vast amount of writing required but, you were extremely helpful so I must say thank you. And because I’m a nerd I’ll say that I’m 95% confident that you were one of my favorite high school teachers.
