1.The town council could install large, colourful signs around the fountain to attract tourists' attention. These signs should include clear warnings about the dangers of climbing into the fountain and provide detailed information about penalties for unsafe behaviour. To be more effective, they could use pictures or symbols that are easy for all visitors to understand, even if they don't speak the local language.

2.They should place a police officer in the town square to monitor the area. The officer could walk around the area, politely interact with tourists and remind them of the rules. In addition, he could provide information about safer ways to enjoy the fountain, making visitors feel welcome and guided, while maintaining order.

3.The town council could create photo zones by designating specific spots with excellent views of the fountain for photography to discourage unsafe selfies. To complement this, they could offer photo props or platforms to make the designated areas more appealing. Additionally, they might launch educational campaigns to encourage people to use these safe photo zones.

4.They can install CCTV cameras in the town square to monitor behavior and deter unsafe activities. With these cameras, they could design an AI-powered app to automatically detect such activities. Additionally, they could employ more personnel to identify and respond to dangerous behaviors. Security staff could be deployed during peak tourist hours to enforce safety rules effectively.

1. The town council could install state-of-the-art, high-tech barriers around the fountain to stop people from climbing up. These barriers could have internet-connected sensors that alert authorities if someone tries to tamper with them. This approach would ensure safety without spoiling the attraction's charm.

2. A long-term educational initiative could be introduced, led by well-educated guides, to teach visitors about the town’s history and the importance of respecting local landmarks. This could be presented in a way that even absent-minded tourists would find engaging, encouraging them to focus on the cultural experience instead of risky behavior.

3. To keep self-confident tourists engaged, a designated selfie zone with great views of the fountain could be created. The zone could feature high-tech, internet-connected kiosks where visitors can instantly upload their photos. This would not only keep them away from climbing the fountain but also appeal to their love of technology and social media.

4. The streets surrounding the densely-populated town square could be converted into pedestrian-only areas to avoid accidents caused by absent-minded tourists wandering into traffic. This solution would work well in a built-up area like Moorstone, especially since it's a popular destination. While some narrow-minded locals might resist changes at first, the council could emphasize how these improvements will benefit the community in the long-term.

This problem is quite serious because tourists are damaging a tourist site that should be protected. Some possible solutions could be:

First, we could launch a campaign aimed at tourists, since they are often unaware of the importance of preserving certain places. This campaign would focus on raising awareness about the historical and cultural value of the fountain and why it needs to be cared for.

Another idea would be to hire professional photographers in the area to offer beautiful photos to tourists. Additionally, a photography contest could be held where tourists submit their best photos while respecting the fountain. The winners could receive prizes like tourist packages or free meals at local restaurants.

It could also be helpful to have guides or officers dressed in period costumes, patrolling the area and kindly explaining the importance of protecting the fountain.
