There are 6 typed of Synovial Joints; Ball and Socket, Hinge, Saddle, Ellipsoid, Pivot, and gliding. The Ball and socket Joint permits all movements and is used for your shoulder and hip joints. The hinge joint is being able to do flexion and extension. The saddle joint has very limited rotation but all movements are possible. The ellipsoid joint gives a movement like the ball and socket but you cannot rotate. The pivot joint is moving your head to one side it rotates to the side. Lastly the Gliding joint, two bones glide against each other and hardly any movements.

I liked the way we got to label every little joint and fragment of the shoulder and were able to right down notes to it. I think writing down everything was a good way to be able to memorize things and understand it a little bit better.
