Babe Ruth became the most well known baseball players during the 1920's. Ruth played 22 seasons in the MLB and started playing as a left hand pitcher for the Boston Red Soxs. He had a career record of 714 home runs and thousands of RBI. IN 1936, Ruth was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. I think that Ruth spent his life dedicated to baseball and had great success in it. During his many years in the sports, playing for many different teams, he proved to people that if you set your dreams to something, you can get it done. In his farewell speech in 1947, ruth talked about how if you wanted to become a baseball player like him, you need to start playing young, at around 5 to 6 years of age. He always encouraged others to make sure to believe in their beliefs for what they are and to never change becsaue some might be different.

"You just can't beat the person who never gives up." - Babe Ruth

Primary Source #2: Home Runs to Easy

In this primary source, the author says that there were way to many home runs in the 1924 baseball seasons. There was a recorded 976 home runs between the American and National Leagues. The author says this isn't fair because the game is becoming to easy and that further into the years, the entire game is going to be played through homers. He says the solutions are that they should expand all the baseball parks so the fields are large and harder to make a home run possible. But then he resulted in saying that it would cost way to much money and that it would take to long to do because baseball will still need to be played during the construction and it would cause to much disturbance. I think the author has a good point because the game was becoming to easy and it would not be fun to watch and would result in not a lot of people being interested in baseball anymore.

He protesting that the National Anthem isn't being fulfilled by how racism is brought upon in the the world, especially America. He wants to bring attention to the issue and show his dominance over it and he is willing to fight for anti-racism.

Primary Source #3: Take Me Out to the Ball Game Script

This primary source shows the original script for the baseball anthem, Take Me Out to the Ball Game. This song was sang and still is sung at almost every baseball game in the nation. America loved baseball because it was different from other sports and that could involve the whole family. Although the original version of the song is a lot longer, it still has parts that are still sung today during baseball games. This script shows the development of the song through notes and lyrics. "Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks", people sang this part because people would normally always eat peanuts and crackerjacks as a baseball ritual. I love singing this song because it always reminds me of my childhood and always going to the baseball games with my families.
