In the science-fiction book of Star Wars Aftermath by Chuck Wendig, he had many different stories with many unusual protagonists. One of them was Temmin, his perspective of his conflict was living on his own without his mother. Temmin sees his mother, Norra, as the antagonist because she left him as a child. Norra left him because she decided to help fight with the Republic, despite trying to raise Temmin as a single mother. He lives life without her and fly around the Universe looking for money, action, and a life. The author put him in the book to show the anger that can be created without a family and without love.

In the science-fiction book of Star Wars Aftermath by Chuck Wendig, the antagonist for Temmin is his mother Norra. She wanted to fight with the Republic, but she was uncertain about leaving her son alone. When her son was age 10, she left him because she choose to fight with Republic and help protect the Universe.
Norra wished Temmin can just accept her fighting in the Republic. Norra was put in the book to
show life without caring for the little things in your lifetime, like family, and you only caring about the big picture of life, like fighting in an army.

Setting

In the science-fiction book of Star Wars Aftermath by Chuck Wendig, the main setting of this story is the planet Akiva. The planet is known in the book as the planet where Norra and Temmin "lives". From Earthly stand points, it's a place where history is buried about unsuccessful love stories and hidden treasures from the past, like the valachord that can bring a family together. It's just like any other desert, but if you look close enough to the sand, you feel like you been here before in a rush or you were in trouble. The author created this big setting in the story to show how close your past can really be to your future and how it can haunt you or bring life to you.

Character Trait

In the science-fiction book of Star Wars Aftermath by Chuck Wendig, Temmin has some unique physical and mental features. Temmin is an aggressive guy, from Temmin's huger for true love with family, not from his unforgiving mother. He also has the dirty clothes of revenge, the clothes that will never change even with forgiveness he will receive. Another trait is his common sense, even though he never had a proper education, but the experiences he had with his escapes from the Empire and air attacks gives him the knowledge and half of Yoda's know how. The reason why the author created these personal traits for Temmin is to help create a better connection to the character to you and make it seem like it's your friend or enemy that you know in reality. The author wants you to see the angry guy in real life also.

Narrator

In the science-fiction book of Star Wars Aftermath by Chuck Wendig, the narrator is a third person point of view of the story. Temmin almost makes the narrator as a regular friend in the story based on Temmin's lonely moments in the story like Temmin riding from the crashed space shuttle to the pawn shop. The author must have made him lonely in some moments on purpose because then you might be able to see how he acts around a regular person. For your information, the author made Temmin make kind of hard to see him talk to you, but you will have a strange feeling you're his friend. An example in real life is the news casters on TV. You're the third person when you watch TV. The news casters mostly talk to their companions about the news, but sometimes they look at you and talk and about it, to make you see it's important. Some of the reasons why the author created this perspective is
to make the characters closer to your thoughts and real life. Another reason why the author is doing this perspective is to make you sometimes feel like you're with the character in the book and you're doing the same objectives in the book with main character in some of the sections in the story.

Character vs. Character Conflict

In the science-fiction book of Star Wars Aftermath by Chuck Wendig, he wanted to symbolize the character vs. character conflict in the book with Temmin challenging his mom to make her see that she was wrong for what she did in her past to her son. The antagonist wants to show she left him to protect the galaxy and she created a peaceful future for her son. Temmin thinks he will never change unless his mom gives him love and even more effort with their relationship as mother and son or even forget her for the rest of his life. One of the biggest reasons why the author has this character vs. character conflitct
is to show you that you might have to fogive a person in real life that had broken your heart that you'll never fix. He also wants to say that LOVE is a thing that you need in your life (not marriage, always).

Internal Conflict (Character vs. Self)

In the science-fiction book of Star Wars Aftermath by Chuck Wendig, he wanted to show Temmin is fighting with himself to see if he is able to still accept the love that he never had. Temmin always has anger because of the love he never had. On the outside world, it's his him against his mother, but Temmin's heart is still kind of in the middle for accepting little love or no love. The mother, Norra, is still providing the love but Temmin couldn't accept. If you go deeper into Temmin, its his heart that was broken in the past that wants to forget about Norra being in his life. He will continue this internal anger until he can accept Norra. The biggest reason why the author is having this conflict in the story is to show that you sometimes have to choose the bad or the worst on a daily basis.
