Afterwards, the students are iven time to write about it. This gives them many opportunities to practice english in a fun way,and it allows for every students to participate. A class could use this strategy despite having multiple ages, native languages,and levels of students. It is a strategy that is easy to differentiate as well. The teacher can use a variety of activities,so if the students need more pratice listening and processin english, they could watch a video. Students who are just beginning learning english can draw photos at first like the photo drawn above. The activity starts with anyalyin an item that the students will individually write a list about. As a class the students decide what the item is, the class breaks into groups to create a list of synonyms or labels,and then they create sentences based off the words they created. Each student is challenged in their ability. The lower level students will be forming basic words and sentences,and the higher level students will be doing more complex writing. (Ferlazzo, 2021)

It is basically the teacher making sure they are using correct pronunciation, speaking slowly, avoiding slang terms, and using physical motion. The strategy is spaking with intention. Speaking slowly so that every student has the opportunity to process what is being said. Using motion when speaking to physically point or motion words to hep students understand. For example, if the teacher is talking about the lockers in the classroom, they would motion to the lockers what they are communicating. (Ferlazzo, 2021)

Students who are english learning more than likely have parents who also do not speak English,so if it is available, it would be very useful to have an aid that speaks the native language. Parent involvement is very important for the students education. These meetings could be very casual as well to create a more welcoming environment. (El, 2019)

Within the email try providing resources to help parents be involved with students homework and provide access to lesson at home to help with the material. Having the weekly schude of what is going on in class and what is due can help parents and students stay on track. Also within the emails include a document or attachment where parents can send back feedback. The feedback could include the homework,critiques, and questions about anything. This opens up communication between the teacher and the parents,and it could lead to relationships building. (El, 2019)

An activity at the beijing of the year, possibly during meet the teacher, is asking parents what cultural traditions you should know about. This way you can avoid assigning homework on important holidays or plan for students to be out of the classroom. To learn more aboult the families and students, teachers can also incorporate the students cultures into the classroom. Whether this is a culture celebration day or in everyday curriculum.
