The main problem i had with my target audience research was that not enough people were filling out my questionnaire however i contacted many people on Facebook and asked them to fill out my questionnaire which helped me get a better understanding for there views. This is very different to the industry because i believe they would send out surveys to thousands of people to try and find a good set of data and an unbiased set. I think in my research for target market or secondary has been greatly improved because i don't just take what is on the outside i dig a lot deeper into website to find the information that is actually needed. I am giving to set a personal target for myself which is to go out of the college and ask around for people to do my survey so that i can get more like the industry and more like how they do it.

Also we tested out some pixilation in the animation studio which boosted our confidence in competing pixilation animation.
We merged our ideas of using the right coloured clay within the animation because we believe that the clay being the right colour of the companies logo.
I feel like i need to work on my time management because if i managed my time better i feel like i could have completed the mood board and the contingency plan in one day but i spent to much time on the mood board and then i had to go into the animation testing room.
In my opinion i feel like we need to work on having the lighting on the animation look good and to a professional standard, I will be doing this by researching the camera that we will be using so that i can figure out the different shutter speeds and the best aperture and ISO for the animation.

We tried doing a movement where i jumped in the air and Tom would take a picture and it was meant to look like that i am just floating away, however we could make it so that the pictures were't blurry. I suggested changing the shutter speed so it took it a lot faster but the only problem with that is that it gets too dark to see me jumping, to develop from this problem i am going to do research on the try of camera that we used so that i know how to use that camera inside and out.The testing of different movements i think may help because it will make the ident look a bit more uplifting and not so boring. I think that our testing isn't to a professional standard standard because the increase in shutter speed will mean that the production company will have to increase the amount of light around the area so that there isn't and increase in the ISO which can affect what the picture looks like and make it look worse. Within the proposal i included an introduction, the research i conducted, risk assessment, contingency plan etc...I planned what i would be writing in the real proposal. However as i started to do what the proposal planning was it turns out that what i was doing wasn't what we were meant to do so after doing the planning for about an hour i had to restart and look up the sheet on tube that gave us some guidance into what we have to do. Yesterday i was working on the clients pitch powerpoint and within my group i got given to do slides on the contingency plan, the research i conducted on claymation and the different camera shots we will be using. I feel like the research i have done on the different camera shots and claymation help us a lot with finalising what our idea will be like , the different camera shots will help us mix it up a bit so that its not just one shot the whole way though and it will make it more entertaining to watch.

Today i started and finished the shot list and i put in a lot of detail to what is happening on screen so that anyone looking at it will understand clearly and not have to ask other people within the group about what is going on. I did quite a bit of research into the different camera shots but i feel like if i did a little bit more we could mix it up and have it look more professional, i also did another contingency plan location sketch so that we have another view of the location. Im not overly sure that by looking at he drawing you can tell where it is so i am going to get some feedback to be certain that ca tell where it is and if the majority say they can't tell where the location is then i will redo the drawing or ask someone else who is more experienced to do the drawing so that it actually looks like the location.

I believe that i have done a good amount of research, planning and problem solving over the last couple days because i have persevered on when encounter with a problem, i have researched everything that will be included in our ident and we have put in a lot of though and planning into this ident so that the message is clear and understandable.

I need to improve by adding in the different shot types that will be included and i need to work on completing the task quicker so that the team are not waiting for me to finish and so that we can get ahead so that we do not fall behind. We have been very considerate of who says what and we have taken into account of not repeating ourselves in the different slides or each member. I believe that we have been very effective in setting our personal targets in the minutes meeting especially because we make sure that every team member always has something to do so that not one person isn't left doing everything. I don't believe that i maintained focus though out the whole day because i feel like that i would have finished earlier and we would of been able to put our power points together before tom left for the UCAS talk. This included adding in pictures, checking for spelling mistakes and reviewing my presenter notes, this will help the client understand the pitch much more and get a better understanding for our combined idea. I also helped Tom with his presentation by giving him feedback on the positives and improvements he will need to make so that his presentation is the best it can be so this it is at a much more professional standard which we hope all of our powerpoint are. I timed myself reading though my powerpoint and while going though i was making change sand the time it came to was about 4 minutes and 3 seconds which is great because i know that i can make it shorter because i was getting distracted by the people around me and by making the changes, i am going to continue reading it though and practicing the pitch so that when it gets to the presentation to the client i am not stuttering or pausing so that i can read it though really well and fluently, this will ensure that it is up to a professional standard. I feel like i did keep focus though out the day because i really wanted to move on a get to a new task so that our group can progress with our production and work on making our project the beat it can be for the client and the audience. I feel like i need to improve on giving feedback so that its not just small things to improve on and its more educational, useful feedback which will be useful to Thomas to make the presentation professional and giving suitable feedback will also help when we are editing our production together.

I have written about how these camera shots and how they will make the ident look more effective and more professional which will cause the audience to be more interested as its not just on plain shot throughout the whole thing which would make it boring and will lose the audience interest. I have also said how the research i conducted on claymation has helped us come up with our pixilation animation idea because concepts in the claymation videos i researched they will help us in our ident production and also that claymation is used a lot in modern TV for movies, kids programmes, indents etc... So that us using pixilation will make it different and a lot more interesting for the audience which should hopefully make the client interested in our idea. We developed our pixilation animation by trying out a scene that we have planned for our ident to see if we should use pixilation for that scene or just use normal video recording and we settled on using video recording because we feel it will be easy to understand what is going on in that particular scene. Me and Tom also started to loo at the left let which will be included in our ident, we designed it so that it includes all of the clients requirements and has a description of who the company are and what they do. I found that the pure purple colour there logo is doesn't work as a background because it makes the logo hard to see so we have gone with a more pink/purple colour as the background which looks very nice and it will be much better for audience when the leaflet is feature in the ident because it means that they can read what is on the leaflet themselves
We did some animation testing to test us folding up a piece of paper and unfolding it, we found taking the pictures in 2s looks a lot better than taking them in 1s. We also tested out using the phone for pixilation by moving it quite fast to see how the camera would react and it looks like it can make out what is on the screen at all times so we are definitely going to be including that into our ident. We faced our main problem with the weather outdoors while we were filming in our main location. We found that the weather was too windy, cold and wet and it would be a distraction while we were filming, with the cold temperature we would also get a cold which may disrupt our production later. We resolved this problem by filming in our contingency location which helped us because it made it easier to film but figuring out the lighting was difficult because where we were filming was a total of around three sets all of which had different lightings so we managed to get the ISO perfect where it looked okay in each scene. Another problem we faced is trying to get the text visible on the screen for longer without it being a freeze frame, so I went into photoshop and designed a text message that we could add into our test on final cut and get experience for if we want to use it in the real ident. All we have left to do is record a vibration for our ident, film a small scene for of me scrolling through my phone and then i believe that is it . There are some photos that look really grainy because of the increased ISO and we are debating wether to take a day out of editing to re film that scene but we need to consider how important that scene is and how much of an impact this re-filming will make. We are also considering what the audience will think of it and if this scene will cause a big impact on what the audience think of the ident because we wouldn't want them to think differently because of one scene. I have learnt that in the future i need to speak out about possibly increasing the shutter speed instead of the ISO so that the pictures look professional quality and dint come out like they did for us, grainy and high saturated.]]> 2016-11-23 15:55:20 UTC https://padlet.com/cazzar_woods6/8kb3z65crn7o/wish/139615991 cazzar_woods6 https://padlet.com/cazzar_woods6/8kb3z65crn7o/wish/141062585 Some of the biggest problems our group have faced this week is some of the pictures for the end scene look really grainy and have a really high saturation when we found out of this problem we had to consider how long it would take to re-film that scene and how long it would take away from us editing that also meant that we had to stop editing for a day because me and Beth would have to come in in exactly the same clothes and we didn't think loosing a day of editing was worth it since our deadline was the next week on thursday. I believe that in the professional industry they would of tripled checked the photos that they were taking so that they didn't have to re-shoot anything and delay production. I also think that they would have the perfect setting for every location and they would of done more research on the equipment they are using so that they didn't hit any road blocks. However we have overcome this problem slightly by balancing the colour on all of the pictures and it made the pictures which will look a lot better and i think the audience will prefer the look of the pictures after the colour balance. We have used a technical technique with having a moving text bubble pop up, we think this is a lot better than having a video of the text showing because it gives a little uniqueness to the video and we all believe that the audience would enjoy it and attract and engage the audience to keep watching. We are hoping to get feedback from a range of focus groups and questionnaires we hope to have people that are fro different classes and have absolutely no idea of what the task is so that all of the feedback is un-bias and really effective. We will conduct the focus groups in a quiet location so that we can record the feedback and not have any background noise drowning out the focus groups feedback. We will go out into different college classes and ask them to fill out our questionnaire after they have watched out ident and maybe we will put a questionnaire on our social medias so we can get some personal feedback. Everything we are doing is to try and make the audience enjoy the ident more and to engage anyone who decides to watch it.
