A serpent, Python was also sent to chase Leto out of any sunshine. Leto was carried by Zeus's wind to Delos island, where Python couldn't reach. On this island, she gave birth to the twins Apollo and Artemis. Artemis, the beautiful goddess most favoured by Zeus, got eternal chastity, bow, arrows, nymphs and hounds for gifts.
