Emma noticed that her friend Mia, who usually had a big lunch, didn’t bring anything that day. "Are you okay?" Emma asked, worried.

Mia looked down, a little embarrassed. "My family is going through a tough time right now. We don’t have a lot of money, so I didn’t bring lunch."

Emma immediately stood up and walked over to the lunch table. She grabbed her extra sandwich and gave it to Mia. "You can have this," she said. "It’s important to share with each other, especially when times are tough."

Lily overheard and smiled. "That’s what we’re supposed to do—help each other out," she said. She turned to the class and added, “No one should feel left out because of money. We all deserve to feel equal and supported.”

Later that day, during recess, some students were playing soccer. Jason, a new kid, was nervous to join because he wasn’t sure if the others would let him play. He stood by the sideline, watching. But then Emma ran over and said, "Hey, Jason! Come play with us! We’d love for you to join."

Lily followed her. "Everyone’s welcome to play, no matter what!" she said, giving Jason a warm smile.

At the end of the day, the principal, Mrs. Harris, gave a speech about the importance of peace, justice, and making sure everyone feels safe and included. "Today was about showing kindness," Mrs. Harris said. "When we treat each other with respect, help those in need, and stand up against bullying, we create a peaceful world where everyone is treated fairly."

The students all nodded, realizing that making the school a better place wasn’t just about following rules—it was about caring for one another, sharing, and ensuring no one feels left out, bullied, or without support.

From that day on, Oakwood School became a place where everyone helped each other, and the students promised to keep working for a world with no poverty and no bullying, where peace and justice mattered for everyone.

"No, I was! You always take the ball and never let me play!" Jake yelled back, his face red with frustration.

Emma and Lily stopped skipping and looked at each other. They didn’t like seeing their friends fight, especially over something so small. They walked over to Ben and Jake, who were still shouting at each other.

"Hey, Ben, hey, Jake," Emma said calmly. "Why don’t we try to work this out instead of fighting?"

Ben and Jake both paused for a moment, still holding onto the ball. "But I was here first!" Jake insisted.

"I’ve been waiting too!" Ben argued.

Lily stepped forward. "What if you both took turns with the ball? That way, no one has to fight, and you can both play."

Jake and Ben thought about it. They hadn’t considered taking turns. "I guess that could work," Ben said slowly.

"Yeah, we can both get a turn," Jake agreed, looking less upset.

Emma smiled. "Great! Why don’t you start with 10 minutes, and then switch? That way, everyone gets a chance."

Ben and Jake nodded, agreeing to the idea. They decided to play a game of basketball together, taking turns shooting the ball and cheering each other on. Soon, other kids saw them playing and joined in, creating a fun, peaceful game where everyone was welcome.

By the end of recess, not only had Ben and Jake stopped fighting, but they had also made new friends. Emma and Lily watched from the side, proud of how the situation turned around. They realized that sometimes, all it takes is a little kindness and a fair solution to bring peace.

As they headed back inside, Mrs. Thompson, their teacher, stopped by and saw how happy everyone was. "What a peaceful playground you all have today!" she said with a smile.
