It is also a very popular church. 

That is the Russian orthodox church Inside the church is is very decorative and very well respected. Most of the population is in the Russian orthodox.  About a fourth of the population. Also in Russia most people don't really have a religion. Or they just don't follow one. They will still celebrate Christmas but not go to the church. Their a few different types of religion in Russia.
