The CRISPR system consists of two key molecules (RNA adn enzymes) that introduce a change into the DNA.

The appilcations for crispr is editing sick genes

Cas-9
What? It cuts Dna into strands to make adding and/or removing genes easier. (gRNA) binds to the part of the DNA that needs to be changed and the CAS-9 follows it.

WHY?
High flexibility technology that allows crispr to scan easier using to cas9 nuclease. Other technogolies are not successful because they are not as flexible.

This question is possibly the most challenging social/moral issue this new advancement may have to face. While most people are on board, some are not. For example, many very religious individuals believe that CRISPR disrupts God's plan for the person it is used on. We believe CRISPR should be used to correct mutations that are seen as harmful or put an individual at a disadvantage (handicap).
