looks like a vortex

had to get it to stand up so i made a stick with paper and made stand out of cardboard with a hole in it

with the paper stick stuck to the sculpture and bottom of the stick through the hole of the cardboard stand

paper cut in a swirl to make more circle shapes

a cone of paper strips of paper circling around it and a origami star

inspired by tornadoes and vortexes

Used things such as gradients, posterize and hue/saturation

learnt how to select parts of the image and copy and paste them onto a new page

Used 3 of my own images and took some parts of those images to make the collage

Used less filters and effects than the final collage

the main problems with AI is it takes from human made art merging it with other human made art it takes from produces weird images that make zero sense

i mostly had a problem with colours it always was way to colourful and even typing in less colours it still used way to many

AI just cant convey the deep emotions that goes into an art piece like humans do

using any of our own images we used image trace using different presets this one being the 16 colour preset and the using properties and then using recolour to make my image different colours

made 2 versions, one being more of a pinky purple then slightly changing the colours to a more blueish purple

to get rid of the background so we could colour it we went to advanced, ignore colour - white to keep the black lines

then with another layer i coloured underneath it

working with only the mouse to colour in i found it hard to stay inside the lines

i used the rectangle shape tool along with the ellipse tool and the polygon tool. i got a bit more used to using adobe illustrate and am really proud of the outcome of this

trying to focus on lgbtq but also have an idea with spirals and might attempt to combine the 2

i did not enjoy using adobe illustrate the first time as i wast used to using this software and having to draw with the mouse added to the struggle but i hope as i continue to use it it will become easier

he was an American painter abstract expressionist. well known for his "drip technique" pouring/ splashing liquid onto a flat surface

he grew up in Arizona. in 1929 he studied at the students league in New York. during the 1930s he worked in the regionalist style influenced by a Mexican muralist painter and certain aspects of surrealism

then on a textured piece of foam made a swirl with latex then painted it in the colours of the pan flag

we had to design charecters liking to out theme

for mine which is on LGBTQ issues and rights i decided to design characters based on pride flags

on my first try of designing a character for my project i did the trans flag making a trans character using the colours from the flag however i did not like how this character was turning out

so i decided to move on to a different character based off a different flag

asexual flag

i changed my mind on the flag i was going to make a charecter for and chose the ace flag. im still not to confident with the design but i like it alot more and it has a nicer colour pallete my charecter design needs some improvement and i might try useing a different art style next time

i experimented with different poses and different facial expressions

tried to make a digital drawing of my character design on adobe illustrate in 2 ways, by using the mouse and paint brush to draw and one with shapes

however i did not enjoy doing it and do not like the outcomes and maybe next time take more time with it

for these story boards my idea was someone coming out to their parents but the being rejected by them and kicked out

and showing the emotion of the child showing how it negatively effects them by it gradually getting darker and more dull as the story goes on until the child is completely alone

in my fist attempt i did it all from the same kind of angle and pov

and tried to change it a little bit in my second attempt

working with clay making this i didn't really enjoy and feel like my outcome isn't the best and that i could definitely improve.

first i started with a piece of wood with a metal structure attached as a base for the shape, starting with the shoulders moving up to the head then doing all the face details then the hair

i looked at the dead boy detective comics , on a sun beam by Tillie Walden and demon in the woods by Dani Pendergast then drew him in those styles

the first one i did (the middle) was a graphite drawing of the lady with her robe on. and was my best out of all the other 3 life drawings

the second drawing we did (bottom left) we were looking at negative space i first did by drawing the outline of the lady with a green felt tip and then with the negative space around it i filled with charcoal.

the third one i did ( the top) we were looking at movement so we had a minute each time to draw the subject before she moved into a different position each time. as we only had a minute to draw her the outcomes weren't so great.

the last one we where looking at light and shadow and i used black charcoal, white chalk and purple chalk.

the top left mural i changed the colours of to be the trans flag colours and changed the flower to lavender.

i like this comic because of the colours and that it shows how just one little thing that affirms their gender can make a person so happy

born October 28th 1991 grew up in new York and studied illustration and cartooning at the school of visual arts in new York.

she has been drawing for a superhero webcomic strong female protagonist since 2012

the artist uses many different camera angles in her work like close ups and wide shots

she mostly uses bright colours her work but changes it sometimes to fit into the scene you can see that in the difference of the character design compared to the comic panels and can even compare it between the two different comic pages

and then from what I learnt from the copy I did my own drawing in the artist style

the artist uses thin line art and simple cell shading. in the artist work in the comic panel i did the copy of the artist used muted colours to show her character under water

my idea for this piece is to aim it towards parents/ the viewer about supporting your children when they come out but can also be used to support friends in coming out and teaching them a little bit about the community near the end

gave him long hair as he hasn't yet come out and hasn't had the chance to try and change his appearance to be more masculine but has been able to slightly appear more Masc with his clothes

these are just the rough ideas and might end up changing

I will need to ad writing to the comic so it makes more sense to what is going on

for this glass cuttingwe used pliers qnd glass cutters from blocks of coloured galss and then glued and layed them on top a clear peice of glass to be put in the kiln and melted

and one thing ive found interesting on my kilned glass work one of the glass pieces have turned into grey and no longer has the texture glass unlike the other oieces and might of been a pice of tile rather than glass
