We then have to carry it all the way down the mountain and drive it home. We spend that afternoon putting up the lights and hanging ornaments.

We have a large garden, and try and supplement it with our own compost year around, but we don't have any trees for leaves in the fall. So every year when people bag up leaves Dylan and Delaney and their mom drive around getting others leaves. Then we take all these bags and dump them into our own yard, where we play with them until we are super tired. Just a few weeks ago for Thanksgiving in California, my mom and grandma cooked dinner and my dad, grandpa, and I made brownies for dessert. It is our way to do something nice for my grandma and mom, since they cooked all day. Here is a picture of a Thanksgiving we spent together a few years ago.
