the moods set for this genre are, sad because frank feels sad and unfortunate that his past lover has moved onto another guy after seeing them together in a gas station somewhere out in the suburban area. another mood is humorous because of the funny jokes and how funny the grandpa was all in general, always told inappropriate jokes or just jokes only an adult would understand. the mood was lastly on a more serious note, when the grandpa unfortunately passed of an over dose and when Dwayne found out he was color blind and can no longer attend air force academy

there are so many close up shots, during the scenes where richard is at the auto mechanic shop, there are any wide camera shots especially when olive gets to dance disgracefully on stage with her family there to support her and dance along side her. there are many medium close up shots when they are all at the diner, bright and early in the morning after staying at a hotel to eat breakfast.
