For example the grounds crew kept on taking my 4x4 and not returning it when they were done. I spent the first couple of days just walking around when I should have been driving. Then Bill came up and told me I just got to go get it, tell them I need it. Even though he said that for my time out there I still had trouble going to them and getting stuff off them. This is an issue because I can’t afford to be too nervous to speak to people about work related issues, especially if I hold some power. In order to improve this I will carefully go over my job requirements and make sure I’m very clear on what I can and cannot do. I’m also going to do some public speaking courses.
