         <description><![CDATA[<div>The beginning was deadly tons of people died trying to keep their business alive rival gangs fighting each other. The gangs blamed prohibition on the casualties.&nbsp;<br>In 1925 the North American Review invited essays on the status of Prohibition its&nbsp; success or failure from leaders in the law, government, public health, business and labor, education, and the church, titling the collection "Five Years of Prohibition and Its Results." Brief excerpts from the twenty-one essays are presented in this collection.<br>When the banned liquor they believed it was gonna help people but the opposite happened so the 21st Amendment brought liquor back.&nbsp;<br>Having one percent alcohol is a banned&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Also they paid off cops and politicians so they wouldn’t snitch on them.&nbsp;<br>Since the late 19th-century Criminal gangs had run amok in American cities&nbsp;</div><div>18 amendment bans the use of liquor and named “ intoxicated liquor”</div><div>Gangs were political machines.<br>The 18th Amendment in 1919 was passed down and it was to ban liquor naming it “ intoxicating liquor” many reason for this ban but the main ones are domestic violence and decline tax revenue&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
