My name is Dr. Andrew Isdaner. I grew up outside Philadelphia, but have lived here in central NC since 2015. I got my undergraduate degree in economics, but decided to change tracks and become a biologist. My background is in ecological, evolutionary, and developmental biology, and studied the genetic and molecular mechanisms of phenotypic plasticity in spadefoot toad tadpoles for my PhD. Outside of the classroom, I have a passion for reptiles, whole-leaf tea, ancient languages, and modern board gaming!
