Atticus is a very wise and kind person, the whole town and a lot of society hates negros, but Atticus defends one in a court case which shows what type of person he is"The main one is, if I didn't I couldn't hold up my head in town"(Lee 75). This also shows that he doesn't care what people think but he would hate himself if he didn't do the right thing.
