It generally defines art produced after the Modern Art movement to the present day. However, modern artwork is not just art produced during a specific time-frame. This genre of art does have its own approach or style that distinguishes it from others. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>MUSIC OF THE PHILIPPINES<br><br>KUNDIMAN AND HARANA<br>HARANA - <strong>Harana</strong> was a traditional form of courtship in the Philippines wherein men introduced themselves and/or wooed women by singing underneath her window at night. It was widely practiced in old Philippines with a set of protocols, a code of conduct and a specific style of music.<br><br>KUNDIMAN -  Kundiman is a genre of traditional Filipino love songs. The lyrics of the Kundiman are written in Tagalog. The melody is characterized by a smooth, flowing and gentle rhythm with dramatic intervals. Kundiman was the traditional means of serenade in the Philippines. The Kundiman came around to be an art song at the end of the nineteenth century and by the early part of the twentieth century, its musical structure was formalised by Filipino composers such as Francisco Santiago and Nicanor Abelardo; they sought poetry for their lyrics, blending verse and music in equal parts. Scholars and historians believed that the Kundiman originated from the Tagalog town of Balayan, Batangas. Dr. Francisco Santiago, the "Father of the Kundiman Art Song", briefly explains in his scholarly work "The Development of Music in the Philippines" the reason why this Tagalog song is called Kundiman is because the first stanza of this song begun thus: In 1872, the illustrious Franciscan Tagalist and poet, Joaquín de Coria wrote the "Nueva Gramática Tagalog Teorica-Práctica" which, besides treating grammar, also enumerates the characteristics of Tagalog language, and discusses Tagalog poetry. In this book, Coria also listed the names of the most important songs of the Tagalogs.<br><br>BALLAD -  A ballad is a song that tells a story, and it can be dramatic, funny, or romantic. You can find <em>ballads</em> in a variety of musical styles, from country-western to rock n' roll.  (EXAMPLE OF BALLAD FAMOUS WRITER  IS - Sheryn Mae Poncardas Regis better known as simply Sheryn Regis, is a Filipina pop singer-songwriter, host, entrepreneur and actress. She rose to fame in popular singing competition Star in a Million in 2003 where she was a consistent top scorer but eventually ended up as runner-up to Erik Santos in January 2003.)<br><br>CHAMBER MUSIC - is a form of instruntal music composed by a small ensemble wherein each part is played by one player, as opposed to an orchestra where a part is performed by a group of three to eight musicians. (EXAMPLE OF CHAMBER MUSIC IS - The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the Philippines versatile orchestras, both in its breadth of repertoire styles and its flexibility of size as a full symphony or chamber orchestra. Founded in 1998, MPO has distinguished itself as one of the leading orchestras inthe country through over a decade of well-applauded live performances, records, tours and innovative programs of bringing the orchestra closer to the communities. The strong backbone of MPO is its solid passion for music.)<br><br>CHORAL MUSIC -  <strong>music</strong> sung by a <strong>choir</strong> with two or more voices assigned to each part. (EXAMPLE OF CHORAL MUSIC PERFORMERS -  <strong>Regina Sacratissimi Rosarii Schola Cantorum</strong><br><br>LITURGICAL MUSIC - are songs intended for christian church services. its early form was inspired by jewish chants during their religious rituals.<br><br>OPERA - is a combination of both music and theater. it is sung drama that entails collaborative efforts of singers, dancers,composers, choreographer, and etc. one type of song found in opera is the aria which is a song sung in solo that portrays the characters emotional state.<br><br>POP MUSIC -  is used to describe music that is readily available to the broad populance. it is an umbrella term that ecompasses a multitude of different genres of music such as RnB, Rap, rock, hip-hop, dance, etc.<br><br>PROTEST SONGS - are song that bring to light injustices and inequalities in the society</div>]]></description>

It usually accompanied by upbeat pop music. formal aerobic dance class has there phases; the first is the warm-up, followed by aerobic dance, and capped with cooldown exercise.<br><br>BALLET - is both a dance and theater art. it is a style and dance technique that follow strict set of moves and performance.<br><br>FOLK DANCE - is the different dances performed by various cultural groups throughtout the country. it changes from region to region and is performed by non professional dancers who are members of the said community.<br><br>STREET DANCE -  is a term used to describe vernacular dances or dances that developed organically within the community.</div>]]></description>
