An example of a hard injury is fractured tibia.
2.A risk factor that can cause an injury is having poor preparation before exercise resulting in strained muscles.
3. This injury can be prevented by having the correct warm up and warm up process and making sure muscles are loosened and not at risk of being strained.
4.

A sporting example of a soft tissue injury would be a tear or sprain on a ligament or tendon. This may result in bruising, swelling and discomfort. Whereas a hard tissue injury would consist of damage to a bone such as a fracture. An athlete such as a rugby player would commonly receive hard tissue injuries as they are constantly under heavy impact, such as scrums (tackles) and when being forced to the ground when having possession of the ball. However a football player would commonly receive injuries such as sprains on a muscle as football as a whole does not consist of as much heavy tackling as opposed to being linked with rugby. Overworking a muscle could cause sprains, this ultimately can decrease a player's ability to perform well during the game. In relation to a rugby player, to avoid dangerous long term injuries, you should try to avoid constant physical resistance such as tackling un-necessary player's when they don't have the ball, and avoid participating in scrums if not required to do so. Furthermore, a football player can avoid injury by wearing extra padding around areas such as the ankle as this provides more support when being tackled by an opponent, and player can wear keenothology tape around the leg areas as this helps keep the muscle warms, and prevents muscle cramps and fatigue.
