Just wondering how you would incorporate some of that drilling-type practice that is needed in some subjects (Sci/math). I love the concept and want to get my teachers to do some of this.

I can't wait! I'm like your teacher - I feel like I "never" use worksheets but when I think on it, I really do. I am a bit hung up on the assessment piece, though. I need "evidence of student learning" -- not sure how to coordinate/evaluate Explain Everything presentations, iBooks, etc… just a learning curve for me. I love that it's not all tech-focused but is actually completely child-centered and engaging.

Would like to see more low tech/no tech solutions for our teachers who don't have it or fear it.

I like this idea. As with all elements of teaching, I think we have to blend. There may be times for wkshts (limited), times for cooperative learning, times for independent learning, and so forth. My challenge is balancing all the different elements and using appropriate activities for various steps in the learning process.

Not sure why teachers are bothering with these. They end up in a heap in the kid's room or the garbage pail. Be more inventive in your teaching. Skip any and all worksheets.

Some of us who choose not to use worksheets are looked down upon or condescended by colleagues who have a different philosophy. How do you deal with this at your respective schools, if it's an issue?
