Sociology also help us to understand and accept diversity,  participate in changes , to understand that society differs from time and place. Having said that, there are three major interpretation of culture. The functionalist perspective states that there are many parts of culture that work together as a system to fulfill society’s needs. Functionalists looks at culture in another way, it says that culture is better defined as a reflection of society’s values. However; Conflict theorists see culture as "inherently unequal" , based upon factors like gender, class, race, and age. And lastly a interactionist is interested in culture as experienced in the daily interactions between people and the symbols that comprise a culture.

I was interested in knowing that we can be born from race but later on we learn our ethinicity. And looking at our country, it is no surprise we have mixed races and ethnicities. Economy refers to the structuring/functioning of the development and utilization of human and natural resources in the production , processing , distribution and consumption of goods and services. An important thing is that it influence habits, skills, knowledge and motivation. Work gives people an income and also provides them some self fullfilment and part of their identity. Ever since the first people traded one item for another, barter system ,there has been some form of economy in the world. It is how people decide what they have to meet their wants and needs.As societies grows and changes, so do the different economies.  The first economies arrived when people started raising crops and domesticating animals. To start off here in our country we have a democratic government, one that neccesarily gives us freedom of choise and expression, here we have the liberty of even chosing our government every so years. Now here's where things differ,  there are some countries that do not alow their people to have such freedom like ourselves. There is a country we discussed in class that ,i dont quite remember the name, doesn't allow even the slightest leniency for people to even decide what they want to watch on tv. I think that it is very sad how these people are forced to live by how the ruling party wants, meaning that the people aren't able to move up there social status or even decide how to live a daily life.
