One reason that christianity spread in the roman empire was because of Economic reasons. For example to pray and believe in the gods in ancient rome is very expensive, as you need to spend money in order to buy sacrifices to pray to the gods. Other reasons that economic ideas helped the spread of Christianity is because of everyone is Christianity were equal, both the rich and the poor, as well as it allowed widows to inherit their husbands money after they died, leading to both becoming christian, al well as you'll get health care and food from the church

One reason that christianity spread in the Roman Empire was because of social reasons. For example, Jesus materialized in a commen peasent, not in a important lord, this shows that the christian god cared about everyone, and had no differentiation in between the the rich and poor, like how both the rich and the poor went to the same place after death in christianity. This also worked because of the huge social gap inbetween the rich and the poor, the roman people saw their rich rulers, who were so high above them, that they tried to find a way to be equal to them, by choosing a god who said everyone was equal. Gods message was that in his eyes everyone is equal, whichreally made the people feel good
