Janine has beeen awake for a long time to get to school by bus and train. At 7:40 she finally arrived at Nürtingen with her friends. Now it is only a few steps tot he school, the Max-Blanck-Gymnasium. It is a sunny and hot day so she is happy to arrive at the central omnibusstation. A place which is fresh and cool. In the past she never used to spend time there. The place and the people there made here feel unconfortable before, especially in the dark tunnel or in hidden corners. The air was polluted so it stinks and it was too hot. So after school she meets her friends at other places. Now she is looking forward to spend time after school and sit with her friends on a clean bech to eat something from the kiosk. The logistic concept reduces conflicts. It is no place of hurry and ignorance no more. Now it is a place to take time for people who need help and notice the nature which hast o be protected. The youth center is visible and inviting from the outside.
In the past Janine didn’t have any friends who are spending time in the youth center or at the bus station. Now she knows some oft hem and can meet them at the open fitness ground, which they designed and painted together: Her name is written on one oft he elements. She listens to birds, the river and playing children on the playground. Yesterday it was raining fort he whole day so the stream Tiefenbach was flodding some areas of the playground. The intention oft he design is to retain water for multifunctional purposes: playing, cooling effect and flood protection.
Now Janine feels save to walk threw the cool shades of the trees to her school. - Finja Graf
