I found that most of the awful side affects caused by antipsychotic medication needed treatment as well. When antisocial tendencies appear and quality of life goes down, the use of cognitive or psychosocial therapy can help. This supports my claim that anti-psychotics should not be used alone, but in combination with psychosocial therapy. Supports the data that shows that side effects of anti-psychotics are major in patients daily life. Side affects of anti-pychotics need to be treated as well.

This supports my claim that a combination of both therapy and anti-psychotics are the best combination for treating Schizophrenia. Supports that anti-psychotics should not be taken alone. Schizophrenia patients need therapy in order to help with side effects.

Zyprexa, one the top prescribed medications for schizophrenia, had strong side effects that caused extreme weight gain and high blood pressure that can result in diabetes.

In the 22 who responded to the question, "Do they take medication, do therapy, or both?", the answers varied. These side effects showed common similarities from the subject expertise articles.
One anonymous answer noted, "Side effects like exhaustion, weight gain, and moodiness were caused due to medication.
