it's already my standard practice to be open window when it comes to rubrics, expectations and success ratings with students. we discuss and dissect expectations and evaluate one another's work frequently. Plus some students truly value being the best or high quality. it's only supportive to tell/show them exactly how to get their.

Similarities I have noticed across the "Item Types" and all PLDs is how important the language we use for clarity in questions and answers. Just because we teach children does not mean the content has to be at simple or complex to check for understanding.

I'd like to see some assessments that are aligned to PLD with a proper ratio of each question type. Breaking down errors in existing questions helps, but it would be nice to have a model of PLD influenced assessment to see how it's done.

I have already begun editing my assessment language. I would like to have others in my department to take a look. For example, everyone shares an assessment they already made and we all share our input together. It may be asking a lot to be vulnerable and allow for criticism but I think we would all benefit from it.

I believe that what I learned in across PLD Is that an assessment is not always a test. What I learned today, is that questions need to have background information for students.

There are also levels to questions, developing, proficient, and advanced.
