I was born and raised in Southern California and came out to Phoenix for college. 

Something I know quite a bit about is drawing/painting. I have started preparing for my tattoo apprenticeship which I will begin after I graduate, and have studied many different artistic techniques in the past. My area of expertise as of right now seems to be stipple work, but I hope to grow as an abstract/watercolor artist. Art is interesting to me because it gives us the opportunity to put something from our mind onto a surface, and how accurately you do that is up to you. I love seeing progress, it is very enriching to see how much better I have gotten in the last year or so, and exciting to think of how good I can be 5, 10, or 20 years from now. 

Something unusual about me is that I work with "hot" animals, and this includes an array of venomous species. More specifically arachnids and snakes. It started off as a hobby, and developed into a passion and supplementary income over the years. Working with some of the most venomous species on the planet has been a humbling and exciting experience that I plan to continue forever, especially upon my return home after graduation. Right now I am working with a lot of Asian/African species, and plan to take on a rattlesnake project along with more north/central American species in June 2020.

I have a great interest in music and worship, especially in guitar. I have played guitar for most of my life. Recently I have taken to building guitars by hand in my garage. At this time, I have built around 14 guitars, and plan to build many more. I just really enjoy making things with my hands, and being able to use my creations to make music is really rewarding for me. 

Something unusual about me is that I am currently dating my third grade crush, and have been dating her since the eighth grade. It's really easy to keep a relationship going when you're best friends with your partner.

I was born in Kingman, Arizona, which is a small town about three hours away from here and I have lived there my whole life. 

One subject that I know a decent bit about is chess. Although I wouldn't call myself an amazing player, I do really enjoy it, and played on my high school's chess team as its president. What I love most about playing chess is that I really have to think about the game. Every move is like a puzzle, and as a person who likes puzzles, that is something that makes chess appealing to me. I also loved playing chess in high school because it allowed me to travel around Arizona with my friends. We would go to tournaments in other parts of Arizona (sometimes we drove up to six hours!) to compete against other high schools. 

Something unusual about me is that I was homeschooled for my entire life, up until I started coming to GCU for college. Since I was homeschooled, when I said I played for my high school's chess club, I meant that I played for one of the high schools in my town. They allowed me to play on their team even though I wasn't actually part of their high school.

A subject that I know alot about would be sports. I grew up with all boys when every single day was a competition and that has had a major impact on my life and I live. Me and my family will spend entire days just watching Sportscenter on repeat all day and talking about different score and story lines that happened the day before. I also came to GCU on a Lacrosse Scholarship but have since retired and just focused on my school work. 

Something unusual about me is since giving up lacrosse I have been looking for something competitive to do so now I play on GCU's Competitive E-sports team.

Growing up I was very big into sports; in high school I played 3 sports, football, basketball, and lacrosse. Initially coming to GCU I played lacrosse the first year, but then decided to focus on school after that. I grew up in a competitive household, from just playing monopoly with the family, in the classroom, to on the field. I loved the feeling it gave me, the adrenaline trying to be better than most, and most importantly seeing the hard-work pay off in the end. 

Something interesting about me is I've traveled Europe every summer the past 5 years.

A subject that I know a lot about is geography. I took a liking to this subject back in middle school and I don’t know why. I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself an expert, but I do know a lot more about this subject than most people. For instance, did you know that Australia is wider than the moon? Or that Mauna Kea, a mountain on the Big Island of Hawai’i, is actually taller than Mt. Everest? I honestly don’t know how I know this stuff because I really don’t know either.
 
Something unusual about me is that I have 12 siblings, six brothers and six sisters. I don’t get to see them often being that majority of us are already in college out of state, and the fact that some of my siblings are grown adults and now have their own families. We were raised in a very competitive atmosphere whether it be in sports or in academics, with my mom being a retired volleyball player and teacher and my dad being a football coach. Although we fight a lot, we still hold it down for each other.

I also ran track in high school and middle school. During my senior year of high school, I got into some other kinds of athletic activities. I started doing calisthenics early in about October of that year, and I still do and love it. After I graduated, I added flips to my love of calisthenics, and now I do some special kind of 🤬 every day. This is literally what my friends know me best for.

Something unusual about me is that I have run in the Oregon Ducks Hayward Field Track Stadium twice for the Oregon State Track Meet. Something unusual about me would be that I have been on a number of missions trips, which inspired both my major and my emphasis. I love the way to tuba sounds and to play it with a squad of tubas creates amazing sound.

Growing up, I played many sports. My parents kept me involved. I have played tennis, baseball, hockey, soccer, golf, swim, and basketball. In high school, I chose to pursue only basketball. In Southern California, our beautiful mountains get filled up with snow during the winter time. My favorite time of the year. Something unusual about is that I actually was born with webbed fingers. My parents and my aunt especially always said it was my calling to become a swimmer. One thing I know a lot about is coffee. I tend to know a lot about coffee a day which I know is really bad for my health. Whatʻs interesting to me about it is that it has no effect on my body so I can drink at least 4 cups a day and feel no caffeine rush.

A specific subject or skill that I am pretty knowledgeable on is sports. I have only ever played basketball and I would consider it to be my favorite sport, however I have a love for all sports. Sports are interesting because they connect people all over the world. For example soccer is the largest sport in the world. Although it is not as big of a sport in the Unites States, it is was people are most passionate about in nearly every other country. I love sports because I have always been a fan of physical activity and competition. When done right, competition is a beautiful thing that brings the best out of people. 

Something unusual about me is that I have a twin brother. He does not go to GCU, but that is something that we had planned. I'm not sure if there's one specific thing I'm super knowledgable about. So here's somethings about me that are pretty important to know. First thing is that I love iced coffee. Love it to the point where yes I've gone to school in -40 and stopped for iced coffee along the way. Secondly, I love Rick and Morty. No that doesn't mean I'm some super stoner because if you know me you know that's so far off. I just really like Rick, the dudes a GENIUS. Lastly, I love watching sports. There's nothing I love more than college football...except MAYBE basketball. I mean have you seen Kelly Oubre, Michael Porter Jr, or Tyler Herro??? 

Something weird about me is I'm a huge fan of Jeopardy! I grew up in a house where every day as a family we watched Jeopardy and then watched Wheel of Fortune after. I've never been as passionate for any contestant besides James Holzhauer. His smiley face deserves the whole world and the title of GOAT.

I also think that playing a sport can teach a person bout teamwork and commitment to other things in life. 

Something unusual about myself is that I play lacrosse for GCU. During the first game I tore my ACL, LCL, MCL, and MPFL. This is my second time tearing my ACL. So basically I have bionic knees in my right and left.

A subject i know quite a lot about is filmmaking. I've been studying and practicing how films are made for years now as it has always been my greatest passion. It's interesting because it is, in my opinion, vital to understand the way in which we tell stories and why we tell the stories we do. It is a form of communication in which you don't usually get to look at and interact with the filmmaker while you watch something but they're telling you a story that they believe you should see. I personally love the artistry that comes along with this.

Something unusual about myself is that I was an actor in a theatre company in Denver for about 3 years before coming to school and though I was still in high school at the time the productions that I was acting in were professional both in quality and style.

I love hanging out with my friends, going to music festivals, traveling to warm places, and cheerleading. Something that I am very passionate about is cheerleading. I have been a cheerleader since I was 12 years old, up until this year. I cheered at Iowa Elite and it was one of the best things I have ever experienced. It taught me to be committed and a hard worker. I loved all the teams that I was apart of, and my gym felt like a second home to me. Cheerleading is something that I love and know so much about, I would love to eventually be a coach someday aside from being an event planner.

I have always been competitive in all different types of sports in school (basketball, cross country, tennis, and track & field) as well as well involved in clubs and the music program at my high school.
