According to Fitness.gov around one-third of U.S. adults (33.8%) are obese and 17% (or 12.5 million) of children between ages 2—19 years are obese.<a href="http://www.fitness.gov/eat-healthy/why-is-it-important/#footnote-1">1</a>&nbsp;Even for people at a healthy weight have a poor diet that can lead to health risks that can cause illness and even death.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><p><b>Immediate</b>:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Risk factors of cardiovascular disease (high cholesterol or hypertension)</li><li>More likely to have prediabetes (blood glucose levels indicate high risk for development of diabetes)</li><li>Greater risk for bone &amp; joint problems, sleep apnea, and social &amp; psychological problems such as stigmatization and poor self-esteem</li></ul><b>Long-Term</b>:<ul><li>More likely to be obese as adults and have a greater risk for health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, cancer, and osteoarthritis.</li><li>Being obese is associated with higher risk for many types of cancer such as breast, colon, endometrium, esophagus, kidney, pancreas, gall bladder, thyroid, ovary, cervix, and prostate, as well as myeloma and Hodgkin's lymphoma.</li></ul></p>]]></description>
