Dissociative Identity Disorder, or split personality disorder, take place after severe childhood trauma as a way to cope and escape reality. The host body has several other people (alters) inhabiting their body and each alter has their own past, memories and personality.
 My concentration, through high contrast portraits will attempt to communicate the lives those with this disorder live. High contrast photography beautifully symbolize the highs and lows a person must be willing to go through in order to cope with the everyday struggles and amnesia those with this disorder face. I think this change will help me to be more satisfied with my work and go back to what I'm comfortable with- black and white photography. This change of composition to my series will be high contrast. In the studio, it took a lot of playing around with light and camera settings to successfully get such a contrast.
