Main points raised from both rough cuts:
  • Find a radio/censored version of the song
  • Colour grade shots for the added finish and vibrance
  • Make sure all lip syncing matches the music especially in close ups with less movement
  • Use of editing and cuts of shots were quite well synced with the gestures and positioning of Mohamud
  • Our use of different locations and costumes paired with our shots and suited genre

The main similarity between the Pitch and Rough Cut feedback was to finish up certain things to improve the overall look and increase professionalism.

Differences
The difference I noticed between the two sets of feedback was the context of which feedback was about; however this is expected seeing as they're about two different types of content.

Judging by the positive reactions and encouraging responses when I spoke to some viewers, they thoroughly enjoyed the music video which was nice to hear, especially after all of the research and planning put into it.

I caught up with some peers to hear some opinions on the music video. In the clip below is feedback I recorded from a peer after the cinema viewing. The overall feedback was positive; one point mentioned was that the video suited the genre an was conventional to a typical grime music video. Peers also thought the editing and camera work were well executed and presented.

This feedback taught me to be more positive and less doubtful of my own work. An item of synergy that we had planned to use but removed once we had started to created the music video was the sunglasses the artist was going to wear. We removed this item since it didn't suit the themes and genre of the video as much as we had thought it would previously.

Font
Another adaptation we made to our media products was another synergy item that was the font. Although this was vague, discussion after the recorded feedback led to an elaboration on this point which was that the video looks professional and appealed to the audience - who were people that fit into the alternative target audience group I outlined in a previous research blog.

After re-listening to the feedback and discussing it, we were able to make changes to the video to improve the success and appeal of it. 
One improvement given to us was to use a clean version of the song audio since there were lots of words that are inappropriate for certain audiences. From this feedback and the other points my teacher raised, it taught me to look at my work and products from a different perspective. Website
In the feedback I received from my website, I was told that it looks very professional and has lots of relevant information, media and links based on the artist and his music.
A criticism of the website was that it could have included some more images or videos that were more personal to the artists lifestyle as it would increase fan appeal.

Advertisement
The audience reacted positively to my magazine advert, a point made was that the layout is neat and suitable for the theme and information being presented.
