Henry Morton Stanley had come in to Africa to negotiate treaties with the native people. However because of the language barrier the Congolese people did not now what was really happening. Even though he was under the ruling of King Leopold he voluntarily came to the Congo, and exploited many African people and workers. Henry Morton Stanley was a man who killed over 10 million Congolese people because he exploited and killed many native people just for his fame.

When Stanley had arrived at the Congo he had immediately believed that he was better than everybody else. As a result of this he started to abuse the Congolese people and take them for granted. He would force them to have hard days at labor yet as a result of them not working he would outright murder them. This shows how Stanley was the one to blame for the killing of all these innocent people. He would over work them and if they didn't meet his needs he would murder them. He would murder every person that had disobeyed his rules due to him wanting all of the power.

As we can see Leopold had only wanted fame. He put himself before thousands of other people and as a result of this many had died. Stanley had staged his acts to make him look like a good guy and due to this others like King Leopold ll blamed when really it should be him. Stanley was the only one who had stepped foot in the Congo unlike Leopold. Proving he is the one to blame because he is the only one that could have done these wrongful acts, and covered them up.

The Native people were forced into labor, death, and exploitation because of the language barrier between them and Stanley. This also shows the harmful acts that Stanley had completed while in the Congo. He wanted to take all the power but to do that he had to take the power away from others.

Stanley was a man that wanted to make a monopoly of money meaning he wanted to be the only seller worldwide. Yet to do this he had to eliminate the rest of his components and get the tribes man to sign treaties and hand over their land. Due to the language gap Stanley was able to get them to sign many treaties signing over their land for little things like trinkets or fabrics. Stanley had gotten them to sign more and more treaties increasing his land mass for the exchange in cheap goods. Stanley should be blamed for the death of over 10 million people because he was overusing his power to take thing's away from the Congolese people.
