         <description><![CDATA[<div>Saint Francis of Assisi was an Italian Catholic friar and deacon he was also born around&nbsp; late 1181 or early 1182 he was born in Assisi, Italy. saint Francis of Assisi gave up the life of luxury to devote to a more christian life after hearing a message from god which&nbsp; commanded to him to "rebuild the Christian church and live in poverty". Before he stated to live a more christian life he became a knight and was captured and held for a ransom.</div>]]></description>

Francis got back to Assisi (in 1205) he heard the message from god so he sold his and his fathers belongings to get money to rebuild st.Damian's church. But the poor priest who was officiated there refused to receive the gold thus that st.Francis had gotten, Francis flung it from him. St.Francis of Assisi changed his life because he heard the message from god while he was praying in st.Damians church. st.Francis  was canonized as a saint just two years after his death, on July 16, 1228, by his former protector, Pope Gregory IX. Some of st.Francis of Assisi's key teaching was the ways he could of gone but he didn't because of gods message</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>St.Maximilian Kolbe was born as Raymond Kolbe January 8, 1894, in the Kingdom of Poland. He was a Polish Franciscan friar and a martyr  in the german death camp (Auschwitz) during World War II. Kolbe was very active in promoting/ preaching for the immaculate virgin Mary and is known as the Apostle of  Mary. Kolbe's was strongly influenced by a vision of Mary when he was 12 years old.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>St Maximilian Kolbe became a saint mainly because he gave up his life for another man with a family (children, wife ect) him and some other men were sentenced to die via starvation and dehydration st.kolbe and 4 other men were still alive after 2 weeks so they were injected with carbonic acid.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>St Maximilian Kolbe's  values faith, courage and compassion St Maximilian Kolbe joined the Franciscans friers because his brother was an conventional Franciscans (They enrolled at the Conventual Franciscan minor seminary) in 1910 Kolbe was allowed to enter the novitiate where he got the religous name Maximilian at the same time he adopted Maria (Mary). St Maximilian Kolbe was a good candidate for this order because he was not selfish ever in his life especially when he gave up his life for another man.</div>]]></description>
