Having listened to the sharing and talks of the guest speakers, I can say that college, though similar to high school, is a completely different environment with different norms and standards. Nonetheless, it is a big step in our lives that, although maybe stressful and emotional at times, would surely be a core memory. At this point in my academic life, I realize that I have a lot more to do in terms of the preparations I have not yet started. The most important message I can take away from this "kwentuhan" is that you have to be bold to try, whether it is to put yourself out there to join organizations, not giving up, or starting any of the numerous tasks given to you. What is important is that you try and do your best, even if it is not justified by the outcome.

From what the speakers have shared, I realized that sometimes things may not go the way we planned it to happen. Especially in college where we experience new things and meet new people, we are bound to be wind up in unexpected hurdles and situations. I gain more knowledge about what college life is. I learned that college life is where you need to be disciplined and personally responsible. Time is gold. That's why we should have time management. Just do your best and trust the process. I would take all the values and aspects that I've learned from the speakers of the past pupils of Don Bosco and rest assured that all my learning values will help me to survive, explore, and experience. In addition, don't put yourself in stress and don't drown yourself in the academics you are free to join to the organizations.

College is something to look forward to but it takes steps to reach them. As much as we should enjoy senior high school, we should also take it seriously as it is our stepping stone for our future jpurney. Start early and try out different study methods and stress relivers. Explore and try to step out of your comfort zones from time to time since in college is quite similar to that. Rest is very important, college or senior high school wise. We function best when we are at the top of our games and health should of course be a top priority. We never know what the future will bring, let us trust ourselves, the process, and of course the Lord :))

"College gives you the sense of independence, but don't be afraid to seek help."

Hearing this from our sharers made me think hard about what lies ahead. I may just be in 11th grade now, but there are times when I think I got it made. Much as this is the stage of standing on our own two feet, we remain amateurs navigating a very unfamiliar landscape. NEVER be afraid to seek help--more a reminder for myself than a personal sharing, really. Our status in high school does not define our status in college, and our status in college does not define our future. Preparing for our college life means accepting that being an achiever may get you through, but it isn't a guarantee of success. In the end, VALUES matter more--it is what we carry deep within us whatever setting we traverse through.

Deposit early and reap the harvest--but that doesn't just apply to hard work. An investment in your mental well-being and physical health is worth it, too. <33 Let's put what our wonderful sharers put into practice, but don't forget your regular appointment with your greatest consultant: the One who made you, who began a good work in you and who is sure to complete what He began. :DD

What I learnt is that we must prepare and go on in life even if we're uncertain of the possibilities events to happen in the present and the near future. We tend to rest sometimes, but that doesn't stop us from keep on going in accomplishing and fulfilling our goals for ourselves and everyone. We must try new things because we wouldn't know and experience them if we still haven't tried them beforehand; it's better to try them than not having the chance to, ever. Let's hope for everything to go well in Jesus' name. Amen.
