         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sketching Quadratic Graphs:-<br>Step 1: The Shape<br>-The shape of the parabola depends on the co-efficient of x. If it is positive, the the shape of the parabola if a 'U' but if it is  negative, then the shape of the parabola is a 'n'.<br>Step 2: Intercepts<br>X intercept (roots): the point where the graph meets the x-axis. The y co-ordinate is 0.<br>Once the equation is solved, you will get two values of x.<br>Y intercept: the point where the graph meets the y-axis. The x co-ordinate is 0.<br>f(x)=0<br>substitute 0 in the main equation to get the value of y.<br>Step 3: Vertex<br>calculate the average of the two values of x . substitute the value of x in the equation  to get the value of y. the coordinates is your vertex.</div>]]></description>

The solutions are the x-intercepts if function that is equivalent to the equation.<br>Function :  can be sketched/plotted<br>Ax² + bx + c<br>If A &gt; 0 the curve will be U shaped.<br>If A &lt; 0 the curve will be n shaped.<br><br>The roots of the function are the x intercepts while the y intercept occurs when x =0<br><br>The turning point is the line of symmetry and the x intercept is the average of the 2 x intercepts.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
