Acid deposition originated from pollutants is one of a global problem with social, economic, and environmental impacts. Acid deposition is referred to rain and snow with pH of less than 5.7 and deposition of acid particles and gases. This acidified lakes; hundreds of lakes are no longer able to support aquatic life, and thousands are on the verge of ecological collapse.

Acidity kills aquatic organisms, impairing growth and reproduction. It also leaches heavy metals which are harmful to fishes, from the soil. Acid deposition affects birds which live near the lakes and aquatic species (ie. salamanders) which are the key sources of food chain. Acid deposition damages forests and affect crops.

Natural and human-generated factors influence the amount of solar radiation striking the Earth and the rate at which heat escapes, thus influencing the temperature of Earth's atmosphere.
These factors cause greenhouse gases; scientists found evidences that directly shows the global warming is happening.
