         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Witch hunt in Scotland started in 1597, all across the country Witch trails were taking place. At least 400 people were out on trail for Witchcraft, and about 200 were executed. It was the second of five Witch hunts that took place. The other ones are "The great Scottish Witch hunt of 1590-1591, The great Scottish Witch hunt of 1628-1631, The great Scottish Witch hunt of 1649-1650, and The great Scottish Witch hunt of  1661-1662."</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Judicial trails for Witches took place form the early 16th century to the mid-eighteenth century. Passing the Witchcraft Act in 1536 made  Witchcraft or consulting with Witches a capital punishment (punishable by death.) An estimated death of 4,000 to 6,000 people most of which were from Scottish Lowlands, though to of been involved with Witchcraft. Most of the major trails were from 1590-91. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the time they didn't believe in "hard evidence" so just as much as one person saying they thought you did something could get you killed. Here are some "signs" they used to figure out whether or not you had either been involved or practiced Witchcraft. 1.)If you were female you were more likely to be thought of as a Witch, the two were associated. 2.) You don't have the best financial state, if you were poor and people didn't like you, they most likely would have gotten rid of you by saying you were involved in Witchcraft. 3.) If you were female and independent, people didn't like that a woman could support herself without looking to a man. 4.) If you had too many friends that were girls, you were "praising the devil|." 5.) You attempt&nbsp;to predict your future husband. 6.) You have broken a "rule" in the bible therefore is considered friends with the devil. 7.) You slept with someone without being married.</div>]]></description>
