He fought with bravery, courage, and hope undergoing multiple rounds of chemo and a clinical trial, and passed away on Nov 24, 2016. I miss him every single day but I know he'd want me to continue the fight for others battling this disease. Together we can spread awareness, raise funds for research, and find a cure. She fought for 31 months and was one of the loves of my life. I won't stop spreading awareness and fighting for an end to this disease. From her earliest days of gleefully riding on my back, holding my pigtails, as we played "horse," until end end of my life -- I will remember her. She loved deeply, laughed heartily, fought passionately, and raised a beautiful son. Her wish was to end this disease for others, and I carry that wish with me. Still her big sis. Still taking action to find a cure for others. We are Alyson's Legacy. When a cure is found our "Alleycat" will have led the way.

]]> 2020-10-04 00:28:01 UTC https://padlet.com/pancan/8ij5sl8adra5ygjf/wish/800209477 https://padlet.com/pancan/8ij5sl8adra5ygjf/wish/800266937 On October 4, 2007, my little brother passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 38.  He was diagnosed just 18 months earlier, after months of misdiagnosis.  Jim wasn't just my brother, he was my best friend.  There wasn't anything we wouldn't do for each other, but I couldn't make him better.  I miss him every single day, and try to do something every day to help end this terrible disease in his memory.  On October 4, 13 years ago, Jim gave me one last hug, and I don't know how he had the strength to do it.   It was that I made him a promise I was going to do all I could to fight this terrible disease, so hopefully no one else would have to suffer as he did.  Love you, Jim!
