CNY Activities

During the Chinese New Year holiday, my family and I ate a lot of traditional food, such as roast duck, rice cake, rice, and fresh orange juice. I ate a lot of these foods.

I helped to make the duck because it is a family tradition.

On the first day, we went out to eat. In addition, we saw a lot of fireworks at night from the other side of the lake. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. It was amazing to see the whole lake covered in different colours. The fireworks are my favourite part of the CNY celebrations.

I recommend that foreign learners who want to celebrate Chinese New Year should spend some family time together. They can have a family party with a lot of traditional food. They can also go to the flower market to buy some flowers.

Furthermore, they can try wearing some traditional clothing. They can also give red packets (lai see) as gifts, such as lai see bags or red envelopes.
