Sci-fi genres surround actual or imagined scientific possibilities within societies or individuals. He was the leader of the third expedition to Mars. His experience with the Martians was the most memorable for me because he was the first to see through the Martian's tricks. The Martians would deceit humans through mind control and hallucination. Captain was cautious and alert, but most importantly he was observant and intelligent. He came to conclusions that most people, including his crewmates, would've never come to. The imagery this book created for me was genuinely exciting. I love space so the way Bradbury described the Martians and their planet was so interesting for me. This was the first book to provoke emotion for me, which was weird because I never thought a book like this could make me audibly react. The novel never got boring because the perspective was always changing which was great since sometimes I tend to get bored pretty easily. I love how in depth he went with the Martians' nature, establishing how complex and intelligent alien life can be in comparison to us. He targets the potential downfall of the human race through the development of technology. In "The Martial Chronicles", the whole reason humans are leaving Earth is because of a nuclear war, which is a very likely scenario. Even though he writes science fiction, he does not stray too far from reality. He provides great detail on his characters so the reader builds connections, making the warnings that much more urgent and impactful. The detail he provides grants his characters their humanity, allowing us to relate to them enough to where we fear the same thing could happen to us one day. We grow to physically feel and experience the same thoughts as the characters as they go through these apocalyptic scenarios. His imagery is just as detailed for the same purpose, so we can place ourselves in the environment.
