It’s been a week since that unexpected twist on Mother’s Day, and honestly, I still can’t believe how things turned around. For the first time in ages, I feel seen — not just as someone who cooks, cleans, and nods along, but as a person who deserves time, respect, and care.

George has been more thoughtful lately, and Doris actually asked if I wanted help with the dishes yesterday — imagine that! Even Cyril is being polite and less demanding. It feels good, not just for the change, but because I stood up for myself.

Thanks to Mrs. Fitzgerald, I’ve realized how important it is to speak up. I just hope I can keep this up — no more being taken for granted.
