The Loyalists
The 25,000 Loyalists fought for the British forces
Some Loyalists fought to maintain their way of life and avoid anarchy. Another reason for fighting was to protect their homes from rebels. Others wanted to serve deep loyalty to the king. And at last, some believed that Great Britain would for sure win the war and wanted to be on the "winning side" as winners.

They fought for the Continental Army.
The reason they fought is because some believed in "life, liberty, and the pursuits of happiness." They wanted to protect their homes from British soldiers, their life, and liberty.

B: They mostly fought with the British, and only a few sided with Americans. An example, the fact that 4/6 of the Iroquis fought with the British only 2/6 fought for the Americans.

Why did they fight?

C: They fought to protect their houses from European invasion. In attempt to make allies to be able to join the Treaty of Paris, which didn't end up happening.
