I’m Chey, A year 11 joining osc this year from ojc.

I like design because I like art in general, especially the part where I get to use my creative skills to map out new ideas and characters.

A recent drawing of mine would’ve been the one attached, called “Dreamer,” following inspirations of impressionism with the Starry Night being a main reference. This piece involved me mixing my usual art style with another, which is something I enjoy doing since it opens me to new experiences in the arts and lets me know what I am and am not comfortable with :3

What I’m most excited for is improving my creative skills and… hopefully being able to show them off and collaborate! :D

1. art has always been my comfort place where I can express my emotions and feelings into a collective piece.

2. I hope to learn more about the different variations of art as there is so much to explore on this topic and I hope to share my passion with others.

   
   

   My sort of art style is very much using contrasting colors (mostly pastel) usually correlating with the image itself. For example I would use darker colors on a flower to create a more dramatic ambience in the image while also indicating the versatility of a flower which is typically viewed to have a sort of soft characteristic. A flower also showcases growth so by using a darker color palette I can showcase growth of hatred or anger (hidden meanings of the image) while using images that directly or indirectly showcase the message I would like to give using my artwork. I would say I am a more logical thinker and designer as I like to add certain elements depending on what message I am trying to get across using many hidden elements or meanings behind even more simpler looking designs.

This is why I have decided to use a design from the internet that sort of replicates what I mean. The image showcases contrast of the colors and how it plays a role in indirectly showcasing certain elements of what the artist might want to get through to the viewer.

I do not really have a certain art style I just go based of what message I want to send to the viewer.
